Lava
has launched the Iris 458q as its first quad-core processor run smartphone. As
more local players now boast their multiple-core processor phones and tablets,
Specification wise, the Iris 458q sports a 4.5-inch
capacitive touchscreen with FWVGA resolution. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly
Bean, which is quite an offering at this price point, and has a 1.2GHz
quad-core processor with 512MB of RAM. It featured an 8-megapixel rear camera
with auto-focus and built-in flash and a front VGA camera for 3G video calling.
On the connectivity front, the phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, and
comes with sensors like Proximity, Light and G Sensor. It also offers 4GB of
internal memory expandable up to 32GB using microSD card, and comes with
pre-loaded apps like WeChat, Push Mail, Ebook reader and more along with some
HD movies and HD games.
